In response to academic chemical safety management requirement focusing on chemical wasters generated in the academic laboratories, our company has specially designed and developed a series of safety cabinets, effectively providing hygienic, safe and non-toxic public environment to the academic institutions.
Chemstore Vertical Drum Storage Cabinets are designed to house storage drums for temporary on-site storage flammable liquids or wasters. This saves traveling time, minimises employee exposure and seal off flammable solvents.
Features
These highly visible and durable yellow powder-coated cabinets feature a red “FLAMMABLE-KEEP FIRE AWAY” warning on the front doors. These storage cabinets are constructed of double-walled, 18-gauge steel with 11/2-inch (3.8 cm) insulating air barrier. Features include piano hinges, three-point lock with handle, dual vents with flash arrestors, 2-inch (5 cm) raised, leak-proof door sill to contain spills and four levelling legs.
All cabinets are supplied with a single shelf for storage of equipment or accessories such as transfer pumps, funnels or safety cans.
The shelf can support a load of up to 350 Ibs (160 kg)
The cabinets are available in 2 sizes which can house either one or two storage drums. The R models are supplied with rollers to facilitate movement of drums. Door ramp for easy loading of drums is an option for all models.
Safety Practices For Flammable Liquid Storage cabinets
Do not store paper or cardboard or other combustible packaging material in a flammable liquid storage cabinet.
Store only compatible materials inside a cabinet.
No more than 60 gallons (227 litres) of Class 1 flammable liquids (flash point below 100°F) or Class 1 flammable liquids (flash point between 100°F to 140°F) may be stored in a flammable liquid storage cabinet.
Not recommended for storage of phenol, nitric acid or sulfuric acid.
